Transparency
We do not ask for trust. We build verification.
The strength of an organization that manages community resources is measured by its capacity to be audited by anyone. That is why the public record is not a marketing promise: it is a design requirement of all our infrastructure.
The record
A record anyone can consult
Altepetl's blockchain will be a private network controlled by the organization itself —it decides who validates transactions— but with public data: anyone, inside or outside the organization, will be able to consult the numbers in detail.
What is private is the control of the network, not the visibility of its data. Privacy here is sovereignty: the network belongs to the organization and not to an external provider.
The financial oracle —the bridge between the real economy and the blockchain— incorporates multiple verification mechanisms: independent sources, digital signatures, audit, bank reconciliation, variation limits, multiple validators, and strict separation between who produces a data point and who validates it. Without those mechanisms, an elegant record would be nothing more than a record of figures nobody backs.
Documents
Everything is written and everything is public
The documents defining this organization live on GitHub, with visible change history and an open contribution process (in Spanish):
| Document | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Filosofía (Philosophy) | Why do we exist and what do we seek? |
| Especificación del Inicio (Start spec) | What do we build first and how? |
| Gobernanza (Governance) | How do we decide and operate? |
| Marco Legal Organizacional | What legal entities do we incorporate and how do funds flow? |
| Capital Inicial Necesario (Initial capital) | How much does it cost to launch and what pays for what? |
| Marco Legal de la Blockchain | What does the law require to operate the blockchain and token? |
Decisions
Every decision, with its data
Decision-making processes start from a body of data that backs them: every project carries attached research, analysis and a calculated weight. The projects with the greatest weight —those that most favor the organization's values— climb first on the list.
The platform also records the work of every person and every cell. From that history is born the reputation that enables candidacies and votes. The information is not there to surveil: it is there so merit is verifiable and power, dilutable.
We do not promise a result. We create the conditions.
Our only guarantee is not a promise: it is designing a network so diverse, documented and connected that the solution nobody foresaw —but someone needed— becomes possible again.
That honesty is also part of the Cause.
